Location - Kamala Beach
The beachside area of Kamala is positioned just 10 minutes drive north of the buzzing Patong Beach district. However, the area remains relaxed and popular with the ex-pat community due to its convenient location, facilities such as a range of eateries and its access to the remarkable Kamala beachfront.
The northern end of the beach is surrounded by Casuarina trees to add to the tropical feel. Year round swimming is available and unlike other touristy areas it is usually easy to find a patch of sand.
A quick drive north of Kamala are Surin Beach and the nearby Laguna resorts where a round of golf can be enjoyed at the Laguna Golf Club.
